We would like a take a moment to say thanks to a very special young lady.
Taylor Bowers, a descendant of pirate
William Parker, grew up in
East Asia where she made a living harvesting rice.
One thing led to another, and she found herself on our doorstep at Little Photography a few months ago. With nothing but a mouthful of rice and the determination of a coyote or possibly a fox, she clawed her way to the top of the corporate latter.
Without Taylor Bowers, Little Photography would be more like
Piddly Photography. Or
Don'tknowdiddly Photography. With Taylor. We do know diddly. We know diddly all the time.
In fact, without Taylor Bowers, I wouldn't even be writing this secret blog entry right now. I wouldn't have fingers at all. And there's a good chance that neither would you.
So without further ado, enjoy this special tribute to Taylor Bowers, the pirate-blooded, East Asian, finger-saving photography intern of the century.
Thanks for all the help Taylor.
If you have a story about how Taylor has impacted your life, please let us hear it in the comments section.
We have a winner from our
last LP Pictionary pop quiz!
You'll have to read to the end of the post to find out who it is.
In the meantime, check it:

This bad boy was drawn by Scott Beatty, Cindy's husband and it may be the most challenging one yet.
A couple of hints: It's an adjective. It's one word. It almost rhymes very loosely with
lemon meringue. People often call presidents this type of duck...
Leave your guess in the comments below. The first correct guesser will receive a carefully edited image featured on the Secret Blog.
Now, for what you've all been waiting for: the winner of the last pictionary pop quiz is....Taylor Bowers!
I know, you're all sick of Taylor. She's had her 15 minutes of fame and then some. She even has her own
slideshow tribute. I'm right there with you; but she won and I have no choice but to feature her picture with her long-time friend and partner,
Detective Ricardo Tubbs:

Congratulations Taylor! Tell Tubb-dog I said 'wazzup'.
Taylor Bowers has been our adopted high school senior for the last couple months. She chose to do her senior project with us, learning from the master of photography: Aaron Byrum.
She needed pictures of her working on her project for the presentation. Unfortunately she didn't fill us in on this until the very last day before the due date, after her project was already completed.
So we staged a bunch of pictures as if she and Aaron were working on the project together.
They capture Aaron's leadership style and what it's like to work at Little Photography pretty accurately.

Yesterday, Jamie, our part-timer, was going through some of the cabinets in our office and rearranging to make space for our packaging materials.
In the process she came up with this:
Was is a prop from iRobot? No, it was a passport camera.
So Aaron of course wanted to try it out. He grabbed a sailor's hat from the back and put on his best tired immigrant look.

Then we got Taylor, our high school intern, in on the action.
Notice how Aaron and Taylor wore their striped shirts for the occassion.

I think Jamie's passport picture gets the "Most Like a Mug Shot" award.

Later, Aaron forgot he had his sailor hat on and wore it to our accountant's office. He said he made it almost through the whole meeting before he realized he was still wearing it. The accountants hadn't said a word about it the whole time.

I made a discovery in our attic earlier today while I was looking for our Christmas decor. It was amidst our piles of props from the good 'ol days. The days when parents wanted pictures of their kids sitting with stuffed food products.
Over-sized stuffed french fries.
These probably went with the giant hamburger we gave away at
Watermelon Day 2007.

Our Over-sized Stuffed French Fry model is Ursula Saelzler (you heard me),
Taylor Bowers' friend.
If you would like a portrait with our Over-sized Stuffed French Fries, just give us a call at 704.888.2881 or email info@littlephotography.net to set up an appointment.
These sessions are totally free and only take a few minutes. You'll cherish your OSFF portraits for life.
2007 was a good year for Little Photography. A lot has gone down, so I put together a little timeline (get it...
